Skip the manual export. Sign in with read-only access, pick one of your Blogger blogs, and the converter reads it through the Blogger API.
What you can control before converting
After your content is scanned, an options page lets you decide how the WordPress file is built.
- Labels: import all labels as categories, map only the labels you select, or skip labels.
- Images: keep the original Blogger image URLs, or rewrite them to a WordPress upload path.
- Comments and drafts: include or leave out comments and draft posts.
- Permalinks: match the permalink structure of your WordPress site (date-based, post name or plain).
- Clean-up: optionally remove Blogger-specific HTML and wrap content in Gutenberg blocks.
- File size: set a maximum number of posts or megabytes per output file, so large blogs are split into parts.
What you download
Depending on your options, a finished conversion gives you:
- One or more WXR (.xml) files that you import in WordPress under Tools → Import.
- A best-effort 301 redirect map for your old Blogger URLs.
- An images archive when you choose to rewrite image URLs.
- A short report with item counts, failed images and duplicate slugs.

Can I convert only some posts and pages?
Yes. After the upload is scanned, you can review your posts, pages and comments and choose what to include before the WordPress file is generated.
What if my Blogger backup is very large?
Large uploads are sent in small chunks and processed in steps, and big exports can be split into several WordPress files. The limits shown by the converter apply, so test with a copy first for business-critical blogs.
Do I need WordPress installed before converting?
No, the conversion happens here. You only need a WordPress site with the WordPress Importer when you are ready to import. Keep its address handy if you want image paths and redirects predicted for it.
